At the Greeley Art Exhibition, 2017
Collage and mixed media is my personal path of expression for these most meaningful aspects of life. I have been a student of art forms since childhood when I studied cello, piano, ballet and art. Having earned a degree in cello performance and education at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, I have been fortunate to have had a lifelong career as a performing artist and teacher. My commitment to visual art was rebirthed in the ashes of the Colorado wildfire that destroyed my home and belongings in September of 2010. Since then I have rebuilt my spirit thru art and music. The search for solace and healing has propelled me forward to continually find beauty in this challenging world. I am inspired by handmade papers, the visual movement of music, the mystery of layering, and of course texture and color.
